Daily Makeup Routine!

So first off, my apologies for being gone for so long.

 

With that’s being said let’s get to the good stuff.

 

Even though I wear makeup, I don’t wear it every day. So one day I woke up, and stated that I wanted to come up with something simple that I can do on an everyday basis. I started to notice that I had bags under my eyes from lack of sleep. So, the first thing in my routine is a little concealer under my eyes. This concealer is very reasonable in price and gives me enough coverage for a subtle look.

 

I apply this with my super blender sponge by Ulta.

 

Then I put on a coat or two of my favorite mascara.

 

Then I add some lip gloss.

 

Now I have two different ones that I mix together to come up with the perfect natural everyday look.

 

This is just something simple that I do. It’s not a big difference in looks but I can tell a difference.

Why should you seal your wefts?

When buy expensive virgin hair or any expensive weave you want to protect you investment. So how might you do so? By sealing your weft. So what exactly is sealing the wefts? It's when put your choice of sealant on to the weft.

 

 

This process consist of you coating the weft with the sealant on both sides. This then create a coating on the weft.

 

 

This coating on the weft helps bind your hair to the weft. So once this is done it help the hair to stay in the weft , which equates to less shedding or none at all. Now you understand why sealing the weft is important. Some wefts are constructed very well so you will have little to no shedding. I whether not take the chance of thinking of have a good weft and my expensive virgin hair starts shedding all over the floor.

 

 

Ladies don't act like you haven't had a bad batch of hair. It's all over your bathroom, all over your bed, all in your car and you just leave a trail of hair everywhere you go. It's embarrassing. So I say just take out the time to seal your weft so you can protect your investment. Now on to the different kind of weft sealants. I have yet to try a weft sealant. When I first start looking for a sealant, it was hard to find locally. I'm the type of person that when I want to do something, I want to do it now. I didn't have the patience to order it online. So I went to my favorite place (YouTube) and saw two option that I could get from my local craft store. One was Fray Check and the other was Arlene Fabric Fusion. My first time sealing my wefts I use the Fray Check.

 

 

It work well , minimal shedding. Its a very light coating on the weft. It seems as if my weft was still protected. After time I felt as if with each wash it came off. So I finally located the Arlene Fabric Fusion.

 

 

Now this one gave more of a coverage to the weft and I felt as of the weft was more protected than with the Fray Check. The only that I didn't like ,it took away some of the flexibility of the weft.

 

 

I think that overall I still like it the best. It looks like there maybe other options in the local beauty supply so I will check them out next time there is a need for me to seal my wefts. So I hope I covered everything about sealing wefts. Feel free to ask questions. I will answer them to the best of my ability. Nails and product review!!!

So on May 3rd I sat at my desk annoyed with lifted up gel on my nails. I knew that I was going to go get them done later on that day , so I proceeded to pull the gel off of my nails. Some broke because of the technique I use to remove them. I really didn't mind because I was due for a cut down. I was sadden to see that one of my nails had broken down to the meat and I could not get my usual gel overlay. When I got to nail shop I still question them if it could be done. Even though my nail was broken to the meat it happen prior to me taking the gel overlay off so it was already healed. I had 3 people tell me it could be done. Finally the 4th told me not to do it. He told me to get a manicure and stop getting that stuff put on my nails. He buffed my nails instead of polishing them and sent me on my way. Prior to him doing this, I had been wear gel overlay for over 3 years. It felt vey weird not having the coating of protection on my nails. Things that I use to with my nail I no longer could. No more punching holes in containers. Now being that I wore gel overlay for so long I thought my nails would've been In really bad shape. Surprisingly they were strong. So I will get another gel overlay in the future but for right now I'm going to take care of my natural nails.

 

With all that being said. I'm going to talk about 2 of the products that I tried out. The first product is the VitaSurge Growth Gel.

 

 

It promise longer healthy nails in 5 days. It's a gel that you apply daily. So to be honest, I didn't use it for 5 days straight . I would forget to put it on, it's hard for me to follow routines. What I did notice is when I applied it for a couple days in a row, My nails were stronger. If one broke it would grow back within a couple days. I don't believe that I would have receive a great deal of growth if use on a consistent basis. I would give it a 6 of 10. It has done some good for my nails but not enough to recommend you to spend $6.88.

 

I will do another review once I finish the whole bottle.

 

The second item is called Manicure Station.

 

 

I purchased it from the Dollar store and I love it. It help keep all the polish out if the creases. 

It made polishing my nails easier. You have to get use to using it but its pretty simple, just a lil awkward. Overall I would say go to you local Dollar store and see if they have it. I hope you enjoy this little nail talk.

Coconut!!!

So I have an issue! I'm allergic to coconuts.

 

 

So why am I sharing this? Well by me being allergic to coconut I can not use any products with coconut in it. This really suck! Being a natural, most natural products have what in it coconut oil.

 

 

Coconut oil is very nourishing and I have heard a lot of people have excellent results with it. So anytime I try a product I have to read the product label to ensure that there is no coconut oil in it or coconut oil is among the last of the ingredients. So, why is this a problem? 95% of natural products if not more have coconut oil. Enter sad face here.

 

 

So I have to make up my own concoctions or search hard for things with out it. I was watching a young lady doing jumbo twist online using hair milk by Shea Moistures. Now there is one line of their products I can use and that is their Raw Shea butter line.

 

 

This line does not have a hair milk ,so I won't be trying one out until I find a coconut free one. If there is anyone else out there that is coconut sensitive, let me know how you deal? Also if you want me to share some products or concoction I use instead leave feedback in the comment section.

Pantene Truly Natural Hair Co-wash

 

So I tried Pantene truly natural hair co-wash. I was ask to try this I. My Instagram. I would like to thank @beautyfuls0ul for the suggestion.

 

First thoughts was that this is not totally natural but Pantene usually have really good products. Second thought was that it has coconut oil in which I'm allergic to it. Then once seeing how far down on the list it was , I was fine with using it.

 

 

When I squeeze it out it look like regular conditioner.

 

 

It smell great. I section my hair into four sections. I then soak and applied it to each section thoroughly and comb it through. The direction says leave on for 1 minute but I surpass that. As I applied it, I notice a slight foam but nothing major.

 

When I rinse each section, I notice how soft my hair was and how it stayed detangle. Usually I would have to detangle my hair before the wash, before conditioning and again before styling. So the true test for me was how it was going to react after my hair started to air dry. I was apply my leave in and my hair was still super soft. I braided my hair immediately after, while it was still damp and it was like braiding baby clouds. My hair is soft and moisturize. I am thoroughly impress with this co-wash. I think I'm in love y'all.

What is a tinted moisturizer?

 

What is a tinted moisturizer?

 

 

A tinted moisturizer is simply moisturizer with tint. So why use tinted moisturizer? It is a minimum to medium depending on your skin type. So the purpose of tinted moisturizer is to even and tone out your skin.

 

 

It’s lighter than foundation but give you that little extra coverage that you may want without one. I personally have use the tinted moisturizer and I like it for when I did a great eye look and I want just to have something light on to even my skin out. It not as great coverage as my foundation but it does the job.You can do this with a bronzer as well but most bronzers have a little shimmer in them. I think that it will also be great for people that have excellent skin and don't want to use a foundation or even for those divas that like to wear a full face of makeup daily. I personally am not a big fan of foundation in the summer so this is my go to for those hot summer days. I hope this help you ladies that have been curious about tinted moisturizer.

MILANI COLOR STATEMENT LIPSTICK

 

 

Sweet nectar goes on smooth. Feels conditioning on my lips. Love it, my favorite! I never thought about weaing anything in the orange family but doing this blog allowed me to venture outside of my comfort zone.

 

 

 

Rose hip goes on smooth and is creamy as well. I like this a lot. I think that I look nice on my skintone.

 

 

 

Bronze beauty has more a satin finish. Not creamy but not as dry as a matted lipstick. Love the color!

 

 

 

Violet volt has that same satin finish. It takes a lot to get it on but once it's on it is very pretty.

 

 

 

Sangria very pretty it's a straight matted. Lip will feel dry. I always put on a balm when I wear a matted lipstick.

 

 

 

Raspberry rush goes on with the satin feel as well. Looks similar to violet volt on me.
