Q & A

So I was ask a question of what is the difference between a track and a weft? They are one in the same. Wefting is the process of binding the hair together. Once done, you will have a weft or a track. It's just a new termology that is being use for the track. Also wefts can come single or double. You will find double wefted wefts more so in beauty supply hair. . Although you may find some single wefted wefts in beauty supply hair, you will most commonly find it in virgin hair. When buying virgin hair especially, you want to take a good look at the weft. If the weft is not very well made, it will lead to a lot of shedding of your weave. Another question that I was ask: What is an installation? An installation is another way of saying getting your hair done. There are so many different techniques of getting hair weave that you can just say I'm getting an installation if you don't feel like explain the method in which you or your stylist use to achieve your hair weave. Just to name a few different ways of installation: You have the famous sew-in. A sew-in can be done in many ways. The most commonly know is with leave out. That where you leave the top portion out to cover your tracks. Then you have the perimeter leave out, this is where you leave hair out all away around your head. This will give you the flexibility of being able to put you weave up in a high ponytail. The hair that is being left out will cover your tracks and if your weave blends well with you own hair, it will give the allusion that it is your own hair. Then you have a partial sew-in where a portion of you hair is braided and then sew on a couple wefts. This method of installation is commonly use to add length or fullness. Then we have the full sew-in that will have none of your hair left out at all. Lastly, you have the last front closure sew-in. With this sew-in you sew in your tracks or wefts in the same manner that you would sew down your closure down first, then sew your wefts on. Other instalation includes quick weaves, this is when the hair is glued to a cap that is place on to your head, or some people will glue the hair directly on top of your hair. Hair clips or clip ons, U part,U part wigs, or even the sewing down or gluing on of a lace front wig. I know that I may be forgetting some more installations but I'm pretty sure I'm covering the main ones. See I answer question so feel free to leave and question you have in the comment section or you can ask me question on my instagram page Instagram.com/myhairmylifemychoice
